Was hoping for a lot of salmon today but the bite was tough. The good part is everyone’s eating salmon tonight.

Out to Jurassic Park with our happy group from Reno where it was 100 degrees. It was in the 50s where we were fishing. Got our bait then went for lingcod and we got ’em. Water got big early so headed closer to shore for the rockcod and we nailed ’em good!
June 12
Awesome Jurassic Park trip with our friends from Placerville. As soon as we dropped in Ed was hooking up with lingcod. Came home with a box of lingcod and red pacific snapper. Great whale show and perfect weather.

Salmon fishing was HOT today. Minnesota tag team done right. Good job!
June 6
Salmon fishing was really good today and the fish are big!
June 5
Flat calm water for our salmon trip today. The fish were hungry! As soon as we dropped in we started hooking up. These are big fish! Wind came up early.
June 1
Salmon fishing is still slow so we elected to go to Jurassic Park instead. Got live bait and as soon as we dropped in the fish started biting. Came in closer for the rockcod and it was non-stop action. Congratulations to Julie for graduating.
May 31
Very nice weather for our local potluck today and along with a great whale encounter, we nailed the fish BIG TIME! Got a great mix of olive, blue, brown, canary, and red pacific snapper.
May 30
Salmon trip today so we headed down to Moss Landing. Not much going on so tried up the coast a bit and found fish. Nice whale show today too.
May 29
Local potluck today and again the winds were a challenge. Fortunately for our group of six the fish were biting… big time! Hammered out limits of brown, olive, blue, canary, and red pacific snapper. Great day!
May 28
Off to the Jurassic fishing grounds but the wind was not our friend today. Fished hard for hours and managed a few lingcod an a couple dozen rockcod.
May 23
Beautiful water conditions for our local potluck trip. Fished up the coast and were rewarded with nice blue, olive, brown and red pacific snapper. Fun!
May 22
With all the good news from the commercial fleet our group opted for salmon. We tried hard but sometimes, thankfully not that often, you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time.
May 16
Decided to go for salmon today with Josh and his five kids ranging 9 to 15 years-old. Papa Josh had his hands full! Everyone got to fight a salmon today and our big fish winner was 12 year-old Tyler from Stockton.
May 15 afternoon trip
Wind came down a little for our afternoon local potluck trip but the water was still a little bumpy. The current picked up and knocked the biting down. Still did okay but had to work really hard for our fish.
May 15 morning trip
Weather certainly came up hard this morning but that didn’t stop our hard-core crew from hammering out limits of high quality snapper on their local potluck trip.
May 14
Jurassic Park today in not so nice water conditions. Started up catching lingcod and boccaccio (salmon grouper) but the winds picked up and made us fish closer to shore. Dropped in and it was a stead pick of brown, olive, blue, black, canary and red pacific snapper.
May 13
Just finished up a two-week break for commercial salmon fishing and today we’re back to charters. And the salmon were waiting for us! Pretty much the same report before the two-week break. Salmon fishing is hot! Looks like salmon will be here for a while too.
April 30
The salmon fishing is red hot now. Awesome morning.
April 29
Awesome salmon fishing again. Let’s hope these fish stick around for a while before heading up the coast. The fish are getting bigger!
April 28
Salmon fishing is still going strong. Nice quality fish today for our group from Porterville.
April 27
Salmon fishing today and the fish were on the bite! Couldn’t even get the gear all set before we started fighting fish. Lots of fish around and hopefully the weather and fish will cooperate for a while. Nice quality fish today. Biggest average weight so far this season.
April 24 afternoon trip
Incoming storm has certainly knocked down the local potluck bite. Storm is its biggest tomorrow. Within a couple days fishing should be getting back to normal.
April 24 morning trip
Pretty calm water even with a storm coming in. Ran to some of our local spots for rockfish. Lot’s of fun and the kids had a blast hauling in the fish.
April 23
Salmon fishing today. Water was great but the jellyfish were a problem. Didn’t see any salmon so headed over to Jurassic Park for some lingcod then back to trolling salmon.
April 22
Local potluck trip today and lot’s of fun with folks from Iowa. Found the rockcod and had a good time hauling in limits of olive, canary, brown, and red pacific snapper.
April 19
Well, just as luck would have it, the weather changed and the salmon grounds were not fishable today. Switched over to Jurassic and we got lingcod! After several drifts the wind found us and we came in closer to shore to fish rockcod (snapper). Came home with several nice lingcod and pacific snapper for tacos! We had Killer Whales (Orcas) swimming by the boat today. Majestic creatures.
April 18
Ran for salmon today and although the odds of finding fish were against us, we managed to scare up a few. Biggest went 21 pounds. Good job guys.
April 17
Salmon trip again and the bite’s still slow. Trolled for a couple hours then decided to run to Jurassic Park for a shot at lingcod. Lingcod were biting and so were rockfish. Came home with three nice lingcod and about a dozen bigger rockfish (snapper). Nice to come back with something for dinner. Great group. Dolphins hanging around the boat again.
April 16
Beautiful water for our salmon hunt today. Tried a new area and hooked up right away for a nice nine-pound king. Within 30 minutes we’re hooked up again! Fished got on the boat but… it jumped off the swim deck. Tried for another couple hours and got a shorty. Then tried for another couple hours and no love. Fish are moving! LOT’S of dolphin activity and some whales.
