Still a swell in town but the wind’s have come down a bit. Ran a little offshore to fish and we got into the olives and blues real good! Nick won the pot with a three-pound olive.

Still have some ground swells and wind waves in town. Fortunately the fish were biting good today!

Big ground swells and winds made our Jurassic Trip difficult. Fish were there we just couldn’t get them to bite like they usually do.

Nice afternoon local potluck trip today with plenty of wind and plenty of fish! Our friends from Las Vegas were taking in the cool breeze away from their 112 degree days back home. 13 year-old Axle and 9 year-old Jasper were hauling in the fish like pros! Even mom and dad brought in a few fish.

Slow day in the salmon grounds. Still have some whales around but the salmon seem to have taken a break.

Great day on the water today. Was flat as a pancake water and virtually no wind. We got into the fish big time! Olive, blue, black, brown and red pacific snapper.

Salmon are still in town. Today we got small and big fish. Happy days!

Salmon trip again today. Weather was mild all day. Big fish were scarce today but did come home with salmon for everyone.

The salmon are in town! Ton of salmon, perfect water conditions, whale and dolphin show too.

Ran up the coast today for our Jurassic Park trip to get away from the wind. Water temps are still cold up there so it started out a slow bite. Came in closer to Santa Cruz and things went wide-open!

Awesome day for our local potluck fishing. Our friends from Redding started hauling in fish as soon as we dropped our lines in. Reds, blacks, browns and olive pacific snapper and a big fat blue lingcod to top it off.

FYI – Halibut are biting pretty good now. Big salmon have shown up too.

Perfect weather and flat calm water today. The fall run salmon are here and there’s a lot of big fish coming up the coast now. Today our biggest was 25# and the smallest was 18#. Jackie, Pooja and Kim pulled them in like pros!

Jurassic trip today. Water got really cold and the fish were not biting much.
June 18 – afternoon trip
Wind picked up a lot so fished closer to port. Went to one of our favorite spots and wow! Lot’s of reds, blacks, browns and a few lingcod.

Great fishing today for local rockfish.
June 15
Local trip for rockcod today. Caught some live bait then ran out to the rockcod fishing grounds. Weather was BuMpY!

Another try at salmon. Salmon are still scarce.

Salmon today but the salmon weren’t being very cooperative. Had for hookups but only one got put in the box.

Jurassic Park today and what a great day on the water! Lingcod, brown, yellowtail, greenspot, canary rockfish, petrale sole and a whale show!

Tried for salmon at the soquel hole then got the late word the bite was on 10 miles away. Picked up and ran and picked up fish. Came home with some nice salmon!

Great day on the salmon grounds today with quality fish and a lot of whales.

Off to the salmon grounds again. A lot of sport and commercial boats out there today. Water was nice and we got salmon. Great day.

Ran to new salmon territory and it paid off. Lots of nice fish to 20+ pounds.

Salmon trip today. Headed down the coast and found too many whales to count, lots of bait and birds and brought home a couple salmon.

Salmon today. Not a lot of sea life around but we found a fish. Hearing some fish are coming up from Monterey so things should improve real soon.

Beautiful day on the salmon grounds today. Lots of birds, whales and salmon! Lost a few but also got a few nice ones in the boat.

Went for the big lingcod and rockcod today. Big swells and big winds made fishing a wee bit difficult. We found fish but could have used some more.

Well, it happens. We were at the wrong place at the wrong time. We got a couple salmon in the boat and broke off even more.
