The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!

Awesome charter today out to Jurassic Park and we had some very energetic kids to handle the big fish!  We got lingcod, petrale sole, canary, green spot, brown, yellowtail and red pacific snapper to 6 pounds! Charlie won the biggest snapper contest with her six-pound red pacific snapper. Fun day!

Perfect seas and 70 degree air temps today made for a very nice trip out to Jurassic Park. Whales, dolphins, sunfish and Big lingcod to 16 pounds and about 50 pounds of canary, brown, yellowtail and green spot pacific snapper. Great time!

Local potluck fishing today with the kids and the dads. Fishing went wide open in the beginning and the kids were all busy bringing fish over the rail.

Beautiful weather was just a little fog and flat calm water for our local potluck trip. Fish weren’t very active so we upgraded to Jurassic Park and ran out deep. BIG difference as we started hauling in big brown, yellow tail and canary snapper. Filled cooler to the 100 pound mark and headed home!

Awesome day at Jurassic Park with whale shows all around, a giant turtle about the size of a volkswagen, a great white shark and limits of lingcod AGAIN! Not to mention a cooler full of rockfish! What a day!

Tried for salmon today but the jellyfish were too thick for us to fish in. Came closer to shore and fished for rockfish and lingcod and did real good!

Good fishing on our local potluck trip today catching lingcod and an assortment of rockfish including a Tiger Rockfish!

Flat as a pancake water today for our local potluck trip with Uncle Joe and five kids. What a great time they had too. Hauling in fish after fish and tossing back the tiny ones. Lots of fun and the girls won big fish and most fish.

Awesome day on the water today for our local potluck fishing. The boys got busy and had fishing over the rail non-stop till they got their limits and crew limits. Then headed in for a halibut drift. No halibut yet…

Tried for salmon today and got surprised when we found big fish right from the get go. The jellyfish have seemed to gone away and the fish are now catchable. Big ones too!

Another fine day in Jurassic Park today but the lingcod were a little more finicky this time. Spent more time and had more success with the big rockfish with vermillions to eight pounds!

Salmon slow so decided on Jurassic Park instead. Smart move! Non stop fun and action bringing in six Lingcod limits biggest going 16 pounds and rockcod. Lot of fun today.

Great fishing trip today with our star angler, five year-old Robert (Robby). This was actually Robby’s second trip on the MEGA-BITE. His first trip was when he was inside his mom six years ago! Robby started the group off by landing a nice lingcod then went to town hauling in rockfish. After a couple hours of non-stop catching Robby headed into the cabin and took a little nap. These are the kinds of trips that make memories! Rockfish limits plus for everyone today plus lingcod.

Wind came up early today so we had to cut our time at Jurassic Park short. Found lingcod and petrale sole then came in closer to shore for the rockfish.

Nice run out to Jurassic Park today and after catching our live bait we went to town pulling up lingcod. After an hour the wind started up so we headed in closer to calmer waters. Great catching today with 7 lingcod and a cooler of brown, blue, olive and red pacific snapper.

What a great time at Jurassic Park today with our dear friend Dr Fogarty and his party. Water was a bit bumpy but that didn’t deter our group from hooking into lingcod from the get go. Had three on at a time! Thanks Doc!

Another perfect day for Jurassic Park and the catching was on fire! Lost a few lingcod but managed to bring home eight lingcod to 16 pounds and rockfish. Fun day!

Another banner day at Jurassic Park with limits of Lingcod and lots of rockcod. Got our first 20 pounder lingcod of the season today. Came home with 140 pounds of fish. Yahoo!

Local potluck trip today and the fishing was good. Limited out early on blues,olives and red pacific snapper then came in close for halibut and lingcod drifts.

Another try at salmon with about 40 boats around us. Didn’t see any nets flying all day. We hooked three and kept one. They’re coming!

AWESOME day at Jurassic Park. First caught our bait then headed to the lingcod honey hole. First drop and it’s lingcod on! It was non-stop lingcod over the rail for about an hour then it was time to come closer to shore for rockcod. While fishing for rockcod we had something take a line and run about 100 feet then stopped. Tried bringing it in and the battle was on! Chris landed his first thresher shark! Awesome day.

Local potluck fish and trip today. And fishing was red hot for rockfish. Caught limits plus crew limits then came in closer to shore and drifted for halibut lingcod.

Welcome aboard our active duty and veterans from the Navy, Marines and Air Force! We had a great time we had pulling in rockfish (pacific snapper) and lingcod. Came home with half limits of lings and full limits of snapper.

Salmon trip today and the water was flat as a pancake all morning. Not many fish being caught by the fleet, including us.

Perfect day for local pot luck with the three dads and the sons. We put the kids to work hauling in more than 130 fish but we only kept the best 70. Drifted for halibut after we limited out on rockfish.

Jurassic Park today and it was a bit more difficult than usual. Got our live bait but the winds were up and we had trouble keeping our lines on the bottom. Got some nice fish then came closer to shore to try and escape the wind. Happy group!

Salmon trip today and it was a long day of trolling. Looked everywhere and not much fish around. Commercial boats were also having trouble finding salmon today.

Awesome day in Jurassic Park again. Lingcod limits and petrale sole then came closer to shore to limit out on rockcod. Bamm!

Great day at Jurassic Park today and the fish were on a frenzy! Brought home 12 Lingcod to 16 pounds plus rockcod. About 140 pounds of fish!

MEAT RUN today and what a day it was! Our best trip EVER on the MEGA-BITE. Caught our bait, then caught our limits+ of lingcod (to 16 pounds), then caught our rockcod then caught our six salmon (to 17.5 pounds). Great group and a whole lot of fun and 250 pounds of fish came home. Perfect day.
