*Our final trip of the season was a perfect father-and-son sendoff.* We stayed local for rockcod and things started a little slow, but after about an hour the fish woke up—and then it was *FISH ON!*
From that point on it was wide-open, non-stop action. Rods bent, big smiles, steady bites, and easy limits for everyone on board. A fantastic day on the water and a great memory to kick off the holiday season.

*Another run out to the Jurassic Park deep-reef grounds today—and it was game ON from the second the lines hit bottom!* Non-stop, wild action for two dads and three teenage boys. Rods doubled over, big color coming up every drop, and nothing but smiles and laughter all morning. We wrapped it up with *full limits of quality rockcod* and memories those boys won’t forget.

We made the long run up to Yellow Mountain and the moment we dropped in—*non-stop action*. BIG yellowtail coming over the rail two at a time! Even 5-year-old Theo was in on the chaos, cranking up multiple double hook-ups (nice coaching, Dad). Biggest yellow tail went five pounds. Most around two pounds. Perfect Thanksgiving family trip—*fish flying, smiles everywhere*. And tomorrow? No turkey… just a feast of ocean goodness:

LINGCOD LIMITS & NON-STOP ACTION TODAY!

* We ran out to our special lingcod grounds this morning and it didn’t take long for things to light up. After a quick 20 minutes making live bait and about an hour of searching, the bite switched on—and it was game on from there.
The quality was excellent. Biggest lingcod of the day tipped the scale at *21.6 pounds*! And Grandpa stole the show with a *double—two lingcod at the same time!*
Ten-year-old *Tommy (“aka Hook”)* was a rock star on deck, helping load up the box and keeping the action rolling.
We wrapped up with *limits for Grandpa, Tom, and full crew limits of solid lingcod.* The lingcod are on the chew—now’s the time to get out here!

*Fishing locally for rockcod today and the big swell was definitely still in town.* It took a bit of hunting before we found some willing biters… but once we did, it was *GAME ON*. Blues coming over the rail non-stop!
We had a great family onboard visiting for Thanksgiving, and nine-year-old *Lars*—his first time ever fishing the ocean—was an absolute *rock star*. Kid was reeling like a pro and smiling the whole way.

*Crab & Local Rockcod Trip Report*
The big swell is *still* hanging around, but we pushed through it and got the job done. Worked the local rockcod grounds and put together *3/4 limits of quality blues*, plus a nice mix of crab to round out the day.

*Out in the deep today chasing the big ones!* It took some hunting, but once we found ‘em the green spots, green stripes, and big reds started coming over the rail. We finished with *3/4 limits of lingcod and chili peppers*—solid fishing considering that a recent storm seems to have put the fish off their feed.
Still, persistence paid off. Another fun day with great people on the water!

*We’re back from our five-day offsite training (brushing up on bluefin tuna and yellowtail techniques!) and back on the water today.*
On the way out we dropped our crab hoop nets, then continued to the rockcod grounds—and it was *wide-open* from the start. After putting a solid dent in the rockcod, we ran the crab gear, reset it, and headed back out for more action.
Round two on the rockcod was just as good, and we wrapped up with *quality limits of blue rockcod*. After that it was one last pass on the crab strings before pointing MEGA-BITE toward home.

Wonderful seas today made for an amazing day on the water! We dropped our crab traps on the way out to the deep reef and then went searching for the fish. After moving around a bit, we locked onto the spot — quality *chili peppers, green spots, and big vermilion rockcod* were biting steady! Once everyone had their limits, we headed back in to pull the crab gear, and lo and behold — *there’s crab!* Not huge numbers yet, but definitely *plenty for everyone* to take home. Another fantastic day aboard *MEGA-BITE*!

Opening day of crab season! We dropped our hoop nets on the way out to the Jurassic Park deep reef, planning to circle back later for our crab bounty. The water out at the deep reef was rough—wind, waves, and fog kept things sporty all day. Whales surrounded the boat nearly the entire time, putting on quite a show between bites. Despite the challenging conditions, we boxed up about three-quarters limits of beautiful rockcod. When we came back to pull the hoops, there were some crab waiting for us—but not quite the numbers we were hoping for. Better luck tomorrow!

*Jurassic Park Action!* The ocean was flat and calm out at the Jurassic Park fishing grounds — perfect conditions for an incredible day on the water. As soon as we dropped our lines, the fish were on! Doubles on every rod and steady action all day. We hit limits of beautiful chili pepper rockfish with a few nice green spots mixed in. A special shoutout to 12-year-old Tommy on his very first ocean fishing trip — he crushed it!

*Trip Report – Jurassic Park Grounds*
Fog hung over the Jurassic Park grounds all day, keeping things cooler than usual. We started the morning hunting where we left off yesterday, but the chili peppers had clearly moved on. The bite was finicky at first, but once things turned on, it was steady action on big reds (vermillion), canaries, and boccaccio. By the end of the day, we came home with a *full box of quality fish* — a solid haul despite the fog!

*Wild, Wild Day at Jurassic Park!* It was absolute mayhem out there today — the *chili pepper rockcod were stacked thick!* We limited out in no time, then slid into the lingcod grounds. The moment our lines hit the water it was *game on with BIG lingcod* — nonstop action and bent rods all around. Another epic day aboard *MEGA-BITE*!

*Jurassic Park has been on fire!* Another incredible trip with big fish across the rails. Everyone stayed busy today hauling up chili pepper rockfish after rockfish — doubles, double double at times! Non-stop action, great weather, and happy anglers all around.

*Another Awesome Day at the Deep Reef!*
We had to grind it out a bit today, but the bite came alive on the deep reef slope! Chili pepper and green spot rockcod were stacked — doubles after doubles coming up from the deep. Before we knew it, limits were in the box! After wrapping up our rockcod limits, we headed in closer and switched gears for some lingcod action to finish the day strong.
Flat seas, great crew, and full limits — just another epic day aboard *MEGA-BITE*!

Jurassic Park Delivered Big Today! What an awesome day on the MEGA-BITE! The action was non-stop out at Jurassic Park with double chili peppers coming over the rail on nearly every drop. Everyone limited out fast, and we still had time to move in closer for some quality lingcod fishing. Flat seas, full coolers, and smiling faces — it doesn’t get much better than that!

Wild day at Jurassic Park today. Fish were BIG and plenty of them. Pretty gnarly water conditions. Storm is officially in town now.

Fish were a little finicky today with the recent full moon and the impending storm but we got ’em! Big variety today with lingcod, rockcod, and petrale sole. Seas are growing but are very fishable.

Out to the deep reef today in a wee bit bumpy water. Once we got to our spot and dropped our lines in, it was game on! We slammed the chili peppers, consistent doubles until we hit limits… Took about 45 minutes! Then we headed to the lingcod grounds. Wind was coming up so it made fishing challenging. Got a ling then decided to get closer to shore and try for more lings. Too late, Mother Nature already started blowing hard. Beautiful grade of fish today and six limits of rockcod.

Gorgeous day on the water. Took a ride out to our favorite deep water fishing grounds for some wide-open catching of quality chili-peppers then came into our secret lingcod spot and grabbed a few lingcod on our way home. Awesome group and awesome day!

Water was much nicer today and the fishing was a wide open bite. Awesome day with awesome people. Six lingcod and 40 chili peppers for four people plus a big petrale sole. Yahoo!

Out to the Deep Reef today for lingcod, petrale sole and big rockfish. The storm was supposed to have passed by last night but… the water was still pretty chewed up. The fish were slow to bite and there were miles of squid around. Seemed like the fish weren’t very hungry with all the squid around so after a few hours we decided to pack it in and run up the coast. Good move. When we got up there the bite went wide-open. Lots of chili peppers, green spots, green stripes and even got a black cod! Hopefully tomorrow’s weather will have calmed down a bit more.

We headed out to the Deep Reef today for our Jurassic Park trip, and it was fish on from the moment we dropped our lines! We spent a few hours targeting lingcod and big rockcod before running out even farther to pick up a couple dozen chili pepper rockfish. Flat-calm seas, big fish, and lots of action—what a perfect day!

Awesome halibut trip today in mixed water conditions. Ran up the coast and fished live anchovies (thank you Rick) and squid. Big fish today. Anyone wanting live bait can swing by the end of S dock by the bait receiver. Rick will take good care of you. Thank you Rick and KG for bringing live bait back to Santa Cruz harbor.

Great Jurassic Park run today. Weather was flat calm and a nice 65 degree breeze. The rockcod went wide-open for us with five limits of some quality rockcod, a couple nice lingcod and a halibut. The kids did a great job. Way to go Mia and Kai.
