After making bait (jigging up squid and mackerel) we headed a ways up the coast. Dropped in our live squid and wham! The party started. The kids did real good with vermillion (red pacific snapper) to eight pounds, lingcod and big blues. But… Dad/Uncle had to school them with his 15 pound lingcod. Great day with limits of snapper and we only kept four lingcod.
