Out to the Deep Reef today for lingcod, petrale sole and big rockfish. The storm was supposed to have passed by last night but… the water was still pretty chewed up. The fish were slow to bite and there were miles of squid around. Seemed like the fish weren’t very hungry with all the squid around so after a few hours we decided to pack it in and run up the coast. Good move. When we got up there the bite went wide-open. Lots of chili peppers, green spots, green stripes and even got a black cod! Hopefully tomorrow’s weather will have calmed down a bit more.
