Among the rockfish we caught were blacks, blues, olives, and one canary which was thrown back. We saw several sea lions and a tricky one decided to play with the buoy when we were fishing for halibut. The halibut proved elusive this time, but we'll return again and maybe we'll hook up on halibut. Thanks again, Captain Tom and Crew, this was a wonderful adventure! Beautiful weather and gentle swells were greatly appreciated. Sincerely, The Austin and Triana Family

But Captain Tom knew what to do! He got us into some awesome fishing for rock fish and lingcod. Most of us even had some "double dips" (two fish on one line). Everyone on the boat maxed out and we were home early. A great time and good eating. Our deck hand, Greg, was awesome too. We'll be back again soon. Bob and Nancy, Morgan Hill, CA

May 15th - Cold water from the winds and current have once again pushed the salmon and bait out of the area. Heard a few commercial boats got a few fish but most sport boats went home empty handed... us included.

May 5th - Better water today so we headed out for the salmon grounds. Found a group of Humback whales and birds working an area and fished it for the morning and were rewarded with 4 hookups of which 2 nice salmon came home. It was a slow salmon day for most sport boats. We got lucky.

May 4th - Very ugly weather today. Tried for salmon for an hour then decided to pull the plug and go nearshore for rockfish and lingcod. Turned out to be a good move. Lots of quality blacks, blues, olives and one nice keeper lingcod.

April 15 - BAMM! Perfect water and perfect fishing with 14 fish to 17 pounds. Bigger is better. Big fish starting to show up 200 feet down. Lost a few big fish at the boat too. Giant pod of a hundred or so Risso's Dolphins buzzed the boat.

April 11 - And another banner day. Early limits for all then we fished for crew limits and were back home by 10:00am. Lost a few big fish at the boat too. Water was perfect.

April 9 - Bingo. Came home with nine nice quality fish to 18 pounds, a few more fish came unbuttoned and no shakers! Water was flat calm all day and it's warming up! Starting to see signs of bait too.

April 8 - Great fishing today and the water was flat calm pretty much all day. Hooked into eight quality fish and brought home three. A coupe shakers and a few no shows. Still cold water and no bait balls so the fish are still pretty scattered.

April 7 - Hooked into eight fish, released a shaker, a few nice fish came unbuttoned and came home with four perfect fish. Everyone's eating salmon tonight. The salmon are still scattered, no big bait signs and water temp around 50 degrees.
